Bergarde Galleries was established by collectors couple Henk en Anja van den Berg in 2011. During the years they have been compiling an extraordinary art collection. They settled in two buildings at estate Het Buitenland. In the barn the collection is presented. In the light gallery – with a view of the polderland – Bergarde organizes exhibitions. Art, nature and space are the ingredients, accessibility is one of the priorities. Bergarde organizes monthly guided tours and events.

Through the years, Henk and Anja van den Berg acquired an impressive art collection. A selection of the Bergarde collection is on display in one of the buildings at Het Buitenland. In addition, the gallery hosts a wide range of exhibitions. Young artists are invited to experiment, but we welcome established artists as well. Our relation with local artists is important as well.

Art, nature and space are the ingredients and accessibility is our goal. In 2014 the green polders of estate Het Buitenland were opened for public.
