Over de tentoonstelling
Marian Plug considers her work abstract. The picture is not more than an expedient for observing the action in the painting. Painting happens, now. Marian does not eschew using any means that painting offers to seduce the viewer. Its story and the research into the qualities of painting are for the use of seduction. Painting has lost its insecurity and the innocence of the experiment.LOANSThe exhibition features new work and work as samples of the past fifty years including loans of Stedelijk Museum and De Lakenhal.PublicatiONThe opening will be performed by Rudi Fuchs who wrote the preamble of the catalogue that will be published on the occasion of the exhibition.Marian Plug (1937, NL) lives and works in Amsterdam.
