NederlandsBergarde stops
All beautiful things come to an end. With pain in our hearts we want to let you know that Bergarde Galleries will close. Unfortunately, it is no longer financially viable to keep Bergarde’s doors open. Bergarde is entirely dependent on art sales to be able to bear all costs, such as salaries. Despite all the efforts the art sales are insufficient. A bad situation for the artistis, after all they have to live off their art; and for Bergarde, where there are only costs and almost no incomes. Bergarde receives no external financial support.
Saturday 16 November is Bergarde’s last openingsday. You can visit us between 11 am and 5 pm.
From 2011 we have been able to represent many national and international artists in the gallery with beautiful exhibitions. Every time it was a joy to work with amazing art en beautiful people.
We want to thank everyone who had made Bergarde the special place that it is today. In the first place the artists. Thanks to your creativity we have been able to create fantastic exhibitions and the collection . building is a feast for the eyes. The landart show Playground was the icing on the cake.
In addition, we are grateful to all partners involved. Many have committed themselves to Bergarde and helped with practical matters, events, permits, etc. With special thanks to our volunteers.
Finally, we thank all visitors. You made Bergarde a lively gallery. Thanks for all the sweet and enthusiastic visits, but also the honest responses to the art and nice conversations. We were able to welcom many regular visitors and we see that as a big compliment.
ART COLLECTION
Bergarde’s permanent art collection continues to exist and can be visited by appointment. You can make an appointment via h.vd.berg@bergarde.com.
